NOTES FROM THE MUSIC ROOM

We are off to a notable start in the music room this year. The upper grades have been reviewing musical terms and learning new ones, singing and listening. The lower grades are singing, playing rhythm instruments and learning the importance of listening to music and directions. If you have been wondering about our Grandparents/Significant Other Special Day that usually took place in October please be advised that we have moved that event to the early Spring. It is difficult for the children to prepare for the day with only four music classes, and a bit stressful for the music teacher as well. We will give you ample time to invite the special guests for the day and promise a great event for them to attend.

Preparation for the Christmas Musical will begin the last week in October. The 5th grade will be doing the acting as is the tradition and the rest of the students will be the choir. The students work very hard to get ready for this special gift to the St. Anne's community. Put the event on your calendar today, Tuesday, December 15th and invite friends and family to join us as we tell the story of Jesus' birth once again.

Parents I need your help with the Christmas Musical and will be asking for volunteers in the parent newsletter. You do not need to be an artist or have a special talent to help with this event. I will assign tasks according to your time and ability. Please say yes to this and give the best gift of the season, your time.
